چکیده
Rayleigh-Taylor and Buoyancy-driven instabilities are very common for an inhomogeneous medium. We examine here how these grow incompressible viscoelastic fluids like a strongly coupled dusty plasma by using generalized hydrodynamic (i-GHD) fluid model. Since the dust particles pretty massive, gravitational attraction of earth has significant role in its dynamics. In this paper acceleration due to gravity g strong coupling context gravitationally stratified have been considered. find that appearance elasticity speed up growth RT instability reducing effect viscosity at timescales shorter than Maxwell relaxation time ${\tau_m}$. The buoyancy driven situation with spatially localized (in both dimensions) low/high density regions placed background medium also evolved presence gravity. Our studies show get suppressed increasing strength This suppression illustrated analytically as well carrying out two-dimensional fully nonlinear simulation.

Soret Dufour Driven Thermosolutal Instability of Darcy-maxwell Fluid
Linear stability of double diffusive convection of Darcy-Maxwell fluid with Soret and Dufour effects is investigated. The effects of the Soret and Dufour numbers, Lewis number, relaxation time and solutal Darcy Rayleigh number on the stationary and oscillatory convection are presented graphically. The Dufour number enhances the stability of Darcy-Maxwell fluid for stationary convection while it...
متن کاملViscoelastic suppression of gravity-driven counterflow instability.
Attempts to achieve "top kill" of flowing oil wells by pumping dense drilling "muds," i.e., slurries of dense minerals, from above will fail if the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability in the gravity-driven counterflow produces turbulence that breaks up the denser fluid into small droplets. Here we estimate the droplet size to be submillimeter for fast flows and suggest the addition of a shear-thickeni...
متن کاملDusty Plasma Dynamics During a Void Instability: Heartbeat Instability
When a three-dimensional dust cloud is present in a plasma, a dust-free region, called void, is usually observed in the plasma centre. Forces involved in the void existence are an inward electrostatic force and an outward ion drag one. Under certain conditions, this force balance can be disturbed and this region exhibits a self-excited unstable behaviour consisting in successive contractions an...
متن کاملCurrent-Driven Dust Ion-Acoustic Instability in a Collisional Dusty Plasma - Plasma Science, IEEE Transactions on
A fluid analysis of the excitation of dust ion-acoustic (DIA) waves in a collisional dusty plasma is presented. The DIA waves are excited by a relative drift of the electrons and ions produced by a steady-state electric field applied to the plasma. The DIA instability is more easily excited if the relative concentration of negatively charged dust is increased.
متن کاملParametric instability in a collisional dusty plasma
The present work investigates the parametric instability of parallel propagating circularly polarized Alfvén pump waves in a collisional dusty plasma. It is demonstrated that the relative drift between the charged dust and the electrons and ions gives rise to the Hall effect resulting in the modified pump wave characteristics. Although the linearized fluid equations with periodic coefficients a...
